Yesterday I had the opportunity to play some Kill Team its been long since I played it. So this game was mostly for just reminding me and my opponent about the rules and mechanics. We also agreed to remove all the team command cards to get the game running smother.
So I went for an army off Orks and mostly just Orks with Slugga & Choppa with a Boss Nob as a leader. My Opponent went for a pretty melee heavy Tyranid swarm with the core around Genestealer.
We played with the scenario “terror tactics” were the object is either to break the enemy team or be the player with the most amount models that had crossed the opponents short table edge and this scenario is played with the short edges as deployment zones.
We went really fast into a big brawn in the middle of the board were most things were determined. were I had the benefit off being the charger but my charge roles were very bad so did not get alot of people on first engagement
I started to pull models off the board to have a leading number escaped models and my opponent rather chooses to keep them on the table. Our biggest struggle was remembering the game as mentioned before but was great fun. we both had our fair share of rolling bad in important roles and good when it wasn’t required.
Unfortunately for me I lost the battle, I the last round I would have won if we came to game end due to me having more victory points but I lost my leadership test in the end some my team were broken and therefor lost.
What I liked with the scenario was that you need to weight the importance of the victory point towards fighting strength on the board which creates hard decisions and that’s always nice.
I cant wait for another game to be played.
